The 1.25lb head on this axe features a custom wide beard and less curved edge which is different from our Craft Carver axe. The razor sharp buffed edge is flat ground at a 30 degree angle to make it suitable for wood carving. The handle material chosen is Pomelle Sapele, a dark and curly exotic wood from Africa. Added into the top is a white paper micarta wedge, and added into the butt of the handle is a custom carved and inlaid medallion from white paper micarta with an heirloom fit for an organic appearance. This plain white material was chosen for a simple contrast as to not take away from the real star of the show, which is the Sapele wood. This comes with sheath.
